It has a distinctive, warm and rich sound, and is used in a wide range of musical styles, from classical to jazz and popular music. The saxophone is played with a single reed mouthpiece, and is known for its versatility and ability to play a wide range of pitches and dynamics.

This colorful clarinet watercolor was inspired in part by one that I played in middle school. There are so many complex valves and buttons on this glittering instrument, and I loved studying them to get them in the right spot.
